2014-0804-CoastGuardDay

It’s Coast Guard Day, a branch of our U.S. military that is too often forgotten. These servicemen and women protect the massive sea waters that surround our country. August 4th was the day selected to celebrate these open water sentries because it was this day in 1790 that the military organization began. In the Coast Guard boat is Trilby and Zuber are in the boat as it travels the waters around Amelia Island. One job the Coast Guard has in Florida is to keep watch of the lighthouses that surround the state.

This all leads to a celebration day coming Thursday. This drawing will basically be repeated but in entirely a different angle on Thursday. Check back Thursday to see what I’m referring to.
