That addition to the Cheyenne sign indicate this unmarked postcard is probably from the mid-1960s.

I noted this in November 2012, when I first posted this:
“I drove by this locations last week and just last night and the building is there, but the restaurant is gone.” in 2020, this structure may also be gone.
Now i can’t recall where this is. Driving through Perry in a few times in the past year, I, also, don’t recall the structure. I did a tour across a Google map and don’t see the structure. There is no mention of this restaurant I can find on Google.
Do any of you all at the Taylor County Historical Society Perry, Florida know about the Cheyenne?

My Uncle and Aunt – Bill and Polly Johnstone were the owners. They sold it when traffic was diverted to 75. It was a great place and also included a gift shop. They had a boot hill cemetery – Here lies Les Moore – no Les no more. The palamino rearing up was Eagle. We took him to Atlanta after the restaurant sold – he had an attitude and used to bite us kids. I gave my sister and placement from there and she has it framed.

In the early to mid 1960s, we drove from South Georgia to visit my brother in Tampa 2 or 3 times a year. This was the dinner stop. I always loved it. So cool to see this postcard.
