Winter Park: Swampy at Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme doughnut shops used to dot the Florida landscape. In the early ’80s many closed. In the past 10 years many new Krispy Kreme stores were built again across the state. Here’s one of the new ones in Winter Park in Orange County.
This Winter Park location used to sell boats, I believe. Please correct me if I’m on the wrong corner where the boat store was.
The closest earlier Krispy Kreme was in Orlando on 3122 East Colonial Drive. It’s design was identical to the designs of the Krispy Kreme shopes in Daytona Beach and Gainesville, two of the last original Krispy Kreme donut shops in Florida. The Orlando East Colonial building now houses a jewelry store and an eyeglass shop.
