The Historic Derby Street Chapel is just south of the Historic Cocoa Village in Brevard County. The structure was built between 1919 and 1924 for the Seven Day Adventist Church. The building changed hands amongst a number of faiths over the years. In 1996 the First Baptist Church had ownership of the building and was leaving it to be demolished for a parking lot. A few ladies from the church took over to save the building. After years of volunteer work, the building became a community center open for events of all kinds.
