Pete Reynard’s Yacht Restaurant was part of  a larger development described in a story from the Bradenton Herald:

“According to a historical account compiled by the Manatee County Historical Society, town founder Jack Holmes built a supper club-style restaurant on the site in 1953 after island boat owners formed a yacht club. The marina was later built around the restaurant development.

Restaurateurs Pete and Eleanor Reynard leased the restaurant in 1954 and opened Pete Reynard’s Yacht Club. The restaurant closed its doors in 1989, after which several other eating establishments moved in and out of the building.”

As mentioned further in the story above, the structure was torn down in 2002.
