Swampy’s Sunday Services: St. Anne’s Shrine, Lake Wales.
St. Ann’s Shrine was built by French-speaking Catholics in 1923 east of Lake Wales along the shore of Lake St. Anne. The Diocese of St. Augustine de-sanctified the shrine. Remnants of the shrine still exist in the area.

This postcard of The Venetian in the Sheraton Hotel in Fort Lauderdale was mailed 45 years ago today. Charlotte mailed it from Fort Lauderdale to Louise Stoddard in Chatham, New Jersey.
