Here’s Swampy with a Black Bottom sandwich! It’s a favorite and an exclusive of the 1932 established Angels in Palatka. Angel’s is the oldest diner still open in Florida. The Black Bottom is a combo if hamburger, egg and bacon.
John and Bella Kotinos opened the Coconut Grove Restaurant and Lounge in 1957. After closing in 1995, the space has had many occupants. Currently it’s George & Wendy’s Sanibel Seafood Grille.

A trip to Orlando requires a stop at Beefy King. Since 1968 their roast beef sandwiches are voted best in Central Florida. Add spuds, coke slaw and an orange shake and it’s a lunch hard to beat.
