This Weeki Wachee postcard postmarked 1966 is of Weeki Wachee without the mermaids! The famous underwater theater is the white structure in the background to the left. The beach area where the ladies are sitting is now Buccaneer Bay.

Here’s this week’s movie schedule in 1954 for The Starlite Open Air Theatre in Key Largo! ‘Easy to Love’ was almost entirely filmed in Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven.
This postcard is dated from 1955. The message on the back to someone in Largo, Florida, is about the misadventures of a couple and their car that keeps breaking down in Perry, Tallahassee, etc.
