Swampy's Florida

Here’s the Tampa Bay Hotel in Tampa in this postmarked 1911 postcard. The grand hotel built by Henry Plant is now the home of the University of Tampa and the Henry Plant Museum. The museum is not to be missed. The various exhibits cover the many accomplishments of steamboats, trains and creation of cities by Plant in Florida. 

The postcard was mailed to the now long gone Sutherland, Florida.
