Swampy's Florida

A lot of national and international businesses got their start in Florida. Chico’s is one of those. Back in 1983 the first store, above, opened on Sanibel Island selling gifts and island clothing. That original store is still open amongst the collection of stores in the Periwinkle Place shops.

Today the Chico’s name can be found in 700 spots nationwide along with hundreds of it’s other sister stores, White House | Black Market, Soma Intimates and Boston Proper.
