I worked at the Quick N Tasty as a dishwasher, shrimp breaded, and busboy while a sophomore at Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach. I can tell you many stories about the restaurant including who started the restaurant, (Mrs. Gloria Lange and her husband). She was a widow when I worked there with a young son and head cook Ralph who had run the kitchen. He had been taken in at a young age by the Langes shortly after they opened the restaurant. It was much more than just a coffee shop.
Does anyone have a menu from this restaurant?
My twin sister and I ate here many times with our parents and we always had Shrimp Scampi (if I remember correctly…)
I do remember that the food was always great!
I worked at the Quick N Tasty close to five years. I don’t have a menu but some of the main items were fried or boiled shrimp, fried or broiled red snapper, flounder, scallops, chicken, fried oysters, chopped steak, and nightly specials except Fridays. The fish of the day was usually grouper. There were many other items available. Salad dressings, tarter and cocktail sauces were all made in-house. All of the items were great and much attention was given to detail. The facilities were exceptional as well as the staff and ownership.
