Swampy’s Florida Tuesday ads for today, 1980: The Showboat, Pinellas Park.
The Showboat Dinner Theater was a magnet for a bevy of celebrities. From Mickey Rooney to Martin Milner came to take a stage and perform a show. The theater was in the shape of a showboat and quite a sight along Ulmerton Road. It was torn down about twenty years ago. The timing was good as fewer and fewer celebrities of recent times tour any plays at all anymore.
