This advertisement for Tampa Jai-Alai is from the June 2nd, 1975 edition of the St. Petersburg Times, now the Tampa Bay Times.

Tampa Jai-Alai Fronton opened on South Dale Mabry in 1945. It was a very popular place for folks to gather to watch the fast moving sport and bet. The fronton closed July 4th, 1998. The structure was torn down and now a large home store sits there now.
