Swampy’s #Florida #History Talks: at the Reddick Library.
Gave a talk at the Reddick Public Library Saturday about Florida heroes in history. Great crowd for a small library. Wrapped up with a drawing based on suggestions from the audience members. Thanks to Natalie Lyons for putting this together and, fellow Marion County Museum of History and Archaeology Commissioner, Linda Ellwood for coming by. One attending is an 88 year old native who pointed out some wonderful historical places and secrets to look at in Reddick. That led me to running into friends Kim Law, Bob Law and Whitey Markle, within 4 square blocks, just per chance who contributed even more about Reddick’s history. Watch Swampy’s Florida for pieces of what I learned!
My friend, Rick Kilby gives a brown bag lunch talk there this Wednesday at noon. I plan on returning and hope to see any of you all there.
