Postcard Wednesday – Sarasota & the Boston Red Sox Spring Training

Take me out to the ball game in Sarasota to the Spring Training site of the baseball team, the Boston Red Sox. There’s no date on the back of the card, but I would say this is from the 1940s. What do you think?

Please feel free to add any memories or thoughts about the ball field. I know the baseball team left Sarasota and went to Winter Haven and then to Fort Myers. Apparently there was serious consideration of returning to Sarasota in 2008.
