Swampy's Florida

A postcard of Florida to be sent afar. At one time flamingos were part of all sorts of Florida promotion. That was also when there were more animal zoos and parks that had the often-pink, color relating to the food they eat, birds. Today those critter spots are few and mostly alligator related.

Since flamingos aren’t native to the state and don’t survive at all well in our wild Florida, otherwise finding flamingos in the state is mighty hard.

So, flamingos are mostly embraced by those who have long contact with the state and were around in the flamingo hay day.

Despite the thousands of postcards in the Swampy’s Florida collection, Christmas postcards are few. So, a sweep online found this Yuletide piece!
