Swampy visited Polk County’s newest park last weekend, Marshall Hampton Reserve along Lake Hancock near Lakeland and the Circle B Bar Reserve. Riding the newly built trails Bob and Lee Julius encounter the elusive Swampy. Bob’s very happy to have such a good trail to take his show horse so near to his home.
This park is so new there is no significant signage at this time. So you have to look reeeal close coming east on Winter Lake Road (County Road 540) and turning right onto Thornhill, ’cause the park is right there! About 6 miles of trails and lots of birds and butterflies.
