Swampy’s Florida Travels: San Felasco State Park, near Alachua.

Swampy joined the Florida Cracker Chapter of the Florida Trail Association to hike part of San Felasco State Park in Alachua County. Above Swampy is at the south entrance to the park where the hike started.
Swampy rests on a fallen tree with his trusty hiking stick.
Swampy begins to traverse a fallen tree that has bridged a gorge in the park.
In San Felasco Park is a normally wet swamp. However, very dry conditions allows hiking through the dry swamp bed, above. Amongst revelations are the rock formations.
Did come across a little bit of water in the swamp.
And then the water was gone again.

As we wrapped up the hike we came across one of the springs feeding the swamp.
