Folks on and off the train at the Union Station depot in Ellenton, in Manatee County, in the 1890s.
Since the long awaited arrival of trains in the last quarter of the 1800s, the area south of Tampa and south to Sarasota had seen a marked population increase. Ellenton was a very busy place in the 1890s.
