Swampy’s Florida: Rainbow Springs Painting at Springs Festival
Coming next Saturday to the Marion County Springs Festival is the introduction of this newest Swampy print! It’s of the location of the Festival – Rainbow Springs. A photo was given to me of a section of the Rainbow River run by Angie Laird where a cypress has fallen over, but not in to, the river. The spot has been a favorite for young folks to jump from the cypress and into the river. I switched the image of her son jumping for a small bear and added the rest of the critters. This is a watercolor painting on watercolor paper.
A limited number of prints will be available at the Swampy’s Florida table at the Springs Festival where I can sign the prints. Otherwise the prints will be available at Angie Laird’s new shop in Dunnellon – River Rats Swimwear and Boutique, which I also did the artwork for the signage.
