While traveling the state of Florida have been seeing the annual arrival of wild flowers everywhere. These purple wildflowers are the most abundant. Are these a type of phlox?

This was almost three years ago and I’ve traveled so much since then. I think it might be a field I found west of US75 specifically in Ocala. Possibly along State Road 40. When noting sites I try the best I can to identify whether an area is in a city of county. So, i would be pretty sure this is within the city limits of Ocala as compared to somewhere else in Marion County.
