A Sawmill Locomotive in Manatee County, 1920s. – Swampy’s Florida Train Stops.
This is the locomotive that hauled tons of lumber for Dowling and Sons Sawmill in Manatee County. The Dowling Mills started in 1925 and had to shut down due to The Depression in the early 1930s.
