Swampy's Florida

Edward Scissorhands is not only filmed in Florida, but, unlike ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon’, is also set in Florida. Filming was all over west Central Florida. Lakeland’s iconic Southgate shopping center arch figures prominently in the film. The arch is still there, as is the generally exact layout of the shopping area as it was originally built.
