Here’s Ross Allen at Silver Springs park (now known as Silver Springs Sate Park). As stated on the back of the card, this is Allen performing a duty he did a good deal of his life, milking a rattlesnake for it’s venom.
What you see in the background is what Silver Sprigns was looking like back in the ’50s and ’60s.
There are about 6 of these same postcards in the Swampy’s Florida collection. None are postmarked, but based on how Allen looks, would guesstimate this postcard to be from the mid-50s.
