Here’s Swampy with a Black Bottom sandwich! It’s a favorite and an exclusive of the 1932 established Angels in Palatka. Angel’s is the oldest diner still open in Florida. The Black Bottom is a combo if hamburger, egg and bacon.
Swampy made a stop at Sea Shell City back in November. It is one of the few (Maybe the only) traditional roadside Florida souvenir shops locally owned anywhere between Pensacola Beach to Panama City Beach. Quickly becoming one of the few in the entire state. It has that Florida souvenir shop feeling when walking in (see the photo below) of sea shells, star fish, snow globes, magnets, t-shirts, etc. It’s a great place and a must see when traveling the beach areas of Northwest Florida.

Tales Of Old Brevard by Georgiana Greene Kjerulff
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is a terrific history book. full of stories, history, maps and photos. This is what every history book should have. Too many write of locations without a map. This book has multiple maps and photos of structures that are labeled. Terrific! There are cute stories. There are poignant stories. There is history of all of Brevard County. All that, and the illustrations accompanying the book, help make it an outstanding resource. Yes, it could be better written and, I believe, I spotted a few inaccuracies. Considering the sum total, I have to give this volume 5 stars.
