Here’s a matchbook for the Thunderbird Motel that still exists today but, as is usually the case, exchanging “Motel” for “Resort”. Click here to go to the Thunderbird of today now being handled by Days Inn.

Swampy stops for some Florida country cookin’ in Pace at the Santa Rosa Restaurant. Here he has a fried chicken leg. Celebrating 50 years, this spot has had many names over the decades and was at one time part of this abandoned motel in the back that you can see in the photo below.
