Swampy strolls a park in Mt. Dora and finds Santa left him a stocking! Goodies galore for Swampy!
If you look real closely in the upper left hand corner is a lizard who jumped into the photo.
Thank you, Terisa Glover for the fantastic stocking!
Every year at Christmas time Swampy visits his dear friend Lucile Fair in Orlando. In one month she will be 105 years old. Despite her age she was remembering so many years ago when she, as a little girl, came home and heard her parents talking about women’s suffer age. She naturally asked at such a young age what are women suffering from?
Lucile has lived all but two months in Orlando and can speak of decades ago as if it were yesterday. She has certainly slowed down but her mind moves at an amazing pace.
‘Morrow’s Nut House’ wins most Christmasy in the Countryside Mall in Clearwater. Fully decked out in garland, lights and plenty of holiday packaging and bows, this location might just have the largest amount of Christmas spirit of the mall stores looked at.
‘Morrow’s’ is the only franchise recognized. There are a fraction of locally owned stores in Countryside Mall as compared to other malls.
I really, really like JC Penny’s decorations in this mall. Lots of holiday cheer! Below is a photo of what was referred to as their “Christmas spool tree”. Little lights twinkle on the cardboard tree. Employees weren’t sure how the lights operate or how they have twinkled non- stop since Halloween. We decided to chalk it up to Christmas magic.
The folks at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium told me about a neat spot in the Countryside Mall – charitable Christmas trees! Various charities have decorated trees to be voted on by mall patrons. The tree with the most votes will be given $1500 by Westfield malls. Below is a photo of the lot of trees. There is also a photo of three of the trees: Salvation Army, Clearwater Marine Aquarium and a tree made b members of the Pinellas-Pasco Heart Gallery. Voting continues until the mall closed for Christmas tomorrow night at 6pm.
Here’s Swampy at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium store in the Countryside Mall in Clearwater. It’ll only be up until the first week in January.
The location near Sears has lots of aquarium toys and plenty of merchandise from the Pinellas County based film ‘A Dolphin Tale’.
Rush in while you can to take advantage of this easily accessible location. Otherwise you can visit their 300 Cleveland Street, Clearwater, location.
