Swampy’s Tuesday Ads: 95ynf Tag, Tampa, 1986.
Here’s the first of a series of 5 original watercolor paintings that were offered in a drawing at the Florida Parent Educators Association convention Memorial Day weekend. It was a POWERFUL weekend for Swampy’s Florida and we have been reeling ever since. The biggest thing to come out of the event is the production of a history of Florida textbook for elementary school age students. It should be available in a few weeks.
Here is the first of the paintings won by FPEA convention attendee Dave Peters in Winter Haven.
Maybe I’ll do a drawing for a watercolor painting for blog readers down the road. What do you all think?
Swampy’s Tuesday Ads – The First National Bank of Tampa Coloring Book
Here’s the cover of a coloring book celebrating The First National Bank of Tampa, ‘The Tallest Building in Florida”. Below is the back cover. Below that are a couple inside pages. There is no date on the publication, but I’d say around 1976. The bank itself went back to the 1880s in Tampa. It was eventually gobbled up and an not certain which of the big banks it is part of now.
