Sorry to learn of the death of Rod Taylor. Taylor was the best of the few to portray John D. MacDonald‘s ‘Travis McGee’ in film. Taylor starred in ‘Darker than Amber’, adapted from MacDonald’s book of the same name.

McGee had a specific address of Slip F-18, Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale that, today, has an historic marker in honor of of the author’s character, that was the hero of 21 books.
