Here we see fun and frolic at the Patio Grill in the Hotel Roosevelt in Jacksonville. The back of the card notes that the Grill is air-conditioned and there are 3 shows each evening. Oh, and no cover charge!

There isn’t a postmark on the card but a one penny stampwith the words “Industry * Agriculture For Defense”. A fellow named Seymour sent this to Club 5, N.Y.,N.Y. Seymour also notes “They got Bunny Berigan playing here”. A quick Google search reveals that “Bunny” is Rowland Bernard “Bunny” Berigan, a jazz trumpeter who died of alcoholism in 1942. That leads me to guess this card is from the mid-1930s.
