Today Alva celebrates a line from ‘My Fair Lady’, the musical adaption of George Bernard Shaw’s ‘Pygmalion’.

The line is:  
‘One evening the king will say,
‘Oh, Liza, old thing —
I want all of England
your praises to sing.
Next week on the twentieth of May,
I proclaim Liza Doolittle Day.’  

Thus, people, especially those who love theater and those who love the play and/or movie ‘My Fair Lady’, celebrate the cockney Doolittle and her transformation by Professor Henry Higgins.
