Near the turn of the 20th century, Sanford was first known as Celery City due to the huge amount of celery the area produced. This all stemming from the vast agricultural successes of Henry Sanford, who the city was eventually named after.
Behind the celery is a citrus crate with one of the many other local Sanford producers, Sunbear.
