Here’s a 1952 postmarked postcard of the rest area in Pensacola at the bridge crossing to Pensacola Beach. The picnic structures were still there just a few years ago. Now the area is still there, but a vastly expanded area that also houses the Pensacola Visitor’s Bureau and much more extravagant picnic areas.
