Cattle drive in Marion County, #Florida, around 1980s.
Swampy’s friend, Janet posted this photo of County Road 484 that partly runs from US 75 to Dunnellon. This was not that far back when her family ran cattle from Levy County south towards the Withlacoochee River.
Janet write, “it is from our early days on Flying P Ranch. Must have been in the 1980s. Steve could move cattle across Hwy 484 just east of Dunnellon Oaks and at what is now the Pruitt Trailhead Road. Those would be herded across Dunnellon Airport to fields north of there. Now there is just too much traffic to continue these cattle drives from the South Side to the North Side of the ranch.”
