Swampy’s Florida Trains: The train across the original rails to Key West.
This was the bridge Flagler built in 1912.It’s also the one that got hit during the 1935 hurricane that tossed the train on the tracks into the waters below. Eventually the rails were removed and replaced with drivable stuff and cars used the viaduct system to get back and forth to Key West. Eventually new roadway was built beside the viaduct. The viaduct today is used for fishing and tourism.
