Friends honeymoon in ’63 in Key West at the famous Conch Train.
The masthead image is of one of the best known attraction throughout the Keys, the Key West Conch Train. Swampy’s friend Milburn and his wife celebrated their marriage in Key West in 1963. Here’s a photo of the two of them in front of the Conch Train at that time.
Both were from and have lived in Texas ever since. He posted this in Facebook on his anniversary on August 12th. That also comes to a trouble we have here in Florida, most tourism photos taken through the century left the state and are never seen again. Social media has been helping reveal thousands and thousands of photos taken across the state by visitors from other places around the world. Please keep your eyes open for these. Feel free to send any images found here and I’ll repost and share with the corresponding historical organization.
