Swampy’s Florida Sunday Services: The Hoezees, Jail Evangelists, Deltona, 1979.
This is an image of a postcard mailed out by the folks above, The Hoezees. The back of the card has a logo of ‘Baptist Missions to the Incarcerated’. Nosing digitally only found mention in a site, titled, GuideStar Profile. the information there has the exact information you can see on the back of the postcard. The site is requesting more information of the organization. One note not on the card is that the organization started in 1979. tHe card dose appear to be from the 1980s.
Otherwise, the group and Hoezees are a mystery. I can find nothing of the family associated with the group mentioned. I have found a few of the names in Holland, Michigan. One of the young ones, now in his 40s, running a similar organization in Holland.
Interesting how many of these postcards can be a mystery and fun to try and figure it out…even a bit.
If, per chance, an internet search of the Hoezees, this is all I know. Don’t recall how this postcard was brought into the Swampy collection.
