Stopped at a Goodwill a bit earlier and came across, the book, ‘The Log of Christopher Columbus’.
The log includes travels between, what would be called, Florida and the Bahamas.
Included is this 1547 illustration of a manatee.
An interesting view of the sea cow.
Imagine being at sea and seeing a manatee from the bow of a moving ship and versus what you could see up close.
