Swampy News: Dedication of ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ Historic Marker.
On Friday, August 24th, a marker to the television series ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ was unveiled at Lori Wilson Park off A1A in Cocoa Beach. The commemoration was to recognize the the popular TV series took place in Cocoa Beach, though not actually filmed there. On hand for the unveiling were Brevard County Historical Commission Chairman Joe Morgan, former Florida Sen. Lori Wilson and Brevard County Commission Chairman Chuck Nelson. The dedication occurred just a few days after series star, Barbara Eden, celebrated her 78th birthday.
