Since the annual Zora Festival is happening this week, it seems appropriate to point you all to this book to better know Hurston and her work. This is one terrific book telling the story of, acclaimed writer, Zora Neale Hurston. I’ve read quite a bit about Zora, but this is the best in my opinion. Well written and thorough, Valerie Boyd really brings Zora to life with her joys and sorrows through her time in Florida and New York City.
