Swampy’s Tuesday Ads: M*A*S*H* & Starsky & Hutch, 1980.
It’s 1980 and, television programs, ‘M*A*S*H’ and ‘Starsky and Hutch’ are in syndication to local television stations. At the time, there weren’t fifty billion channels and this was an inexpensive way for local stations to run programming. Local Channel 6, WDBO, in Orlando took out this ad in the (Orlando) Sentinel Star’s October 19th issue of their television guide, ‘On The Tube’.
The issue of ‘On the Tube’, as are practically every item mentioned on this site, is part of the massive Swampy’s Florida collection.
