Here’s the ferry, ‘The Manatee’ sailing off from Pinellas Point. This was how, those horseless carriages, got across the Florida waters before hte push for roads and bridges. Many of us wish the return of the ferry instead of the drag strips, known as our current bridges.

This postcard is postmarked 1953 and mailed to Harry Scott in Roscoe, Illinois. There’s a rather long note jot down in pencil and small script. Very tough to make out what the message is and figure Harry had the same trouble. The note is signed ‘Edith Jerry & Ethel’.
