Zuber enjoys a creamsickle for Creamsicle Day.
For years I’ve pointed folks to Sun Groves in Safey Harbor to get a fresh squeezed orange sickle. Sadly, they closed last year. That’s the same year they were marking 85 years in business.
Please support our local groves and the stands they have.
================================
This is what I’ve been posting for years:
– Besides the traditional creamsicle are the creamsicle ice creams available. One place that serves those is Sun Groves, Inc. in Safety Harbor. They are celebrating 85 years this year. Besides being able to purchase gifts of citrus and shipping boxes of citrus around the world, they also have a swirled creamsicle ice cream in a cone to cool off the many hot days in Florida.

It wasn’t long ago that hotels had rate cards that told of prices and rooms and pools and more.
Today folks use some form of internet to find this information.
This part of the swampy’s Florida collection shows us the price schedule for the Ramada Inn Oceanside in Fort Lauderdale.
Over time the Ramada Inn was closed and demolished. Today the location has just another multi-floor condo, L’ambiance Beach Condo, blocking beach access.
Zuber and Trilby dig in to the French treat to celebrate National Filet Mignon Day!

This postcard has no description , but the stamp in purple of “Methuselah Age 400”. There have been gators of the name in the past, but I couldn’t locate one existing in 1935. Please feel free to note anything below in the comments area below.
The card was mailed on March 29th, 1935 by “Mother” to Beth Harding, 87 Fairmont Street, Brookline, Massachusetts. Mother explains what she knows of the image above – “This old fellow is 400 years old & he’s a pretty thing.”
