Swampy’s Florida Hiking Micco Scrub Sanctuary.

Got in 3 miles hiking Friday. Hadn’t done that in far too long.
After getting the alternator replaced in the car, was advised to drive it every day for a week. Just not very far. The mechanic folks are worried of a hot wire they can’t figure out.

Sooo..this is getting me out everyday, when i, otherwise, would be sitting and working all day. Getting to the storage room and think I’ll tromp some local trails…which I desperately need to do for my health.

Here is an image of Jacksonville, Tampa, Key West Railway sometime in the 1800s. The railroad was incorporated in 1878 as the Tampa, Peace Creek and St. Johns Railway with the intent of providing rail service to areas on the west coast of the state. In 1881 the route of the rails were altered and the name changed to the Jacksonville, Tampa, Key West Railway. This left later building the rails to Tampa by the South Florida Railroad.
