Extra Scrub Foliage – Swampy’s Florida Update Upcoming Gopher Tortoise Book.

Penciled & Inked this a couple days ago to add to page one of ‘Happy Birthday, Gorda, the Gopher Tortoise’.
The main artwork didn’t fit the page with the dialogue and needed addition scrub habitat.

Swampy’s Florida Postcard Thursday: Fontainebleau & Eden Roc, Miami Beach.

This unmailed postcard shows The Fontainebleu on the left and the Eden Roc on the right. The hotels had quite a rivalry back in the ’50s and still battle it out for customers today. Both hotels were designed by Morris Lapidus.

Today, both hotels have expanded to some degree since opening in the mid-’50s. The Fontainebleu, more specifically, has added a large condominium and remade the entire facility.|
