On Saturday, May 19th, from noon until 3pm Swampy will be with 11 other authors & illustrators at Half Off Books in Orange City, Florida debuting the newest in the series, Swampy’s Florida: Wildlife on Land. Rob Smith, Jr. will be signing and doodling in each one a personal sketch.
Swampy’s Handler, Rob Smith, Jr., will be at A. Parker’s Books and Book Bazaar, Sarasota this Sunday signing the new Swampy’s Florida: Sarasota from noon until 4pm. He’ll also toss in a few free caricatures. If you haven’t been to Parker’s, it’s one of the finer antiquarian and independent bookstores in Florida. Come on out and support your local businesses! 🙂
   
Here are parts of a fold out brochure for the Copacabana Motel in Daytona Beach. I think the lawyers today would advice the Copacabana Motel not to have the image of the folks sitting on the ledge. A search of the address seems to show the addressing has changed in the area since the days of the Copacabana Motel. There is a building that looks much like the same motel named the Silver Beach Club, but would have to go out there to really compare. If you know more please leave your thoughts below!
On Friday, April20th from 1pm to 3pm, Swampy’s Handler, Rob Smith, Jr. will be signing and drawing personal sketches for folks at Circle Books on St. Armands Circle. This coloring book and guide is full of Sarasota history and places to visit in Sarasota. Come on by and say “Hello!”.
