Here’s an interesting view of Beach Street in Daytona Beach around 1919, as the postcard is marked in the back. That triangular area is still there (it’s where that police dog is buried) and so are a number of the buildings to the left.

An interesting message in the back indicates the confusion some have while in Florida. “So I’ll bid the good old Gulf of Mexico good bye” it states. The Gulf, of course, is on the other side of the state.
