Deerfield Beach Train Depot and Cameron Diaz in ‘In Her Shoes’.
A nearby train depot that is a sister to the Delray Beach depot is the Deerfield Beach train station further south in Palm Beach County.
One viewing Cameron Diaz arriving at a Florida train station in, the movie, ‘In Her Shoes’ (2005) could well believe it’s the Delray Beach station. But the station is the Deerfield Beach one that opened in 1926, a before the Delray Beach one. Both designed by the same architect.
Interesting note of the film is that the train station was a last minute scene. Director Curtis Hanson loved the depot so much when he was scouting locations, he figured a way to use it in the film.
