Swampy’s Florida says Happy Ricou Browning’s Birthday, !
Ricou Browning was born today in 1930 in Fort Pierce. Growing up swimming the Florida waters prepped him to swim as ‘The Gill-Man’ for the underwater scenes for the 3 ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon’ films at Silver Srpings, Wakulla Sprigns and Marineland. He also aided in directing underwater scenes for, the television series, ‘Sea Hunt’, two James Bond films, a Frank Sinatra film and more. He also created and helped write, the television series, ‘Flipper’.
Browning died less than two weeks after his birthday last year at 93.
