Warm Mineral Springs opened as a spa to the public around the time this postcard was sent in 1964. People from all over the world came who wished to heal in it’s waters of a constant 87 degree.
Unfortunately, in recent years the property has fallen in the unskilled hands of local government. The City of North Port have been vexed as to what to do with the property. More so, after damage by passing hurricanes. These are the same folks responsible for building roads and maintaining parks.
The result has been developer interest to transform the property into a hotel/condo mixed use. The failure of such efforts to maintain the initial reasons for our historic Florida sites is nearly endless.
There is an a kinda ‘Friends-of’ keeping the efforts updated.
You can learn more of that here:

As is typical, the Media is no where to be found reporting of this.
The City of North Port does keep a page open of the generally closed site:

The postcard was mailed to Mr. & Mrs. C. Mingerink in Middleville, Michigan on March 13th, 1964 from Belle Glade. John and Rina mailed it and wrote that they are “in Belgrade”. They write that the weather “is hot 90 degrees” and that they had seen “lots of orange groves & grapefruit groves, etc.”. They also write that they had seen “lots of coconut trees, lots of colored people here in Miami.”
This postcard is part of the Swampy’s Florida collection.
